Grilled Marinated Artichokes with Harissa and Basil Dipping Sauce

Note: We’ve been grilling these super easy artichokes for years but I just recently reworked the recipe to include Savor’s Harissa in the dipping sauce. What a great addition!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Sherry vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Savor
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped basil
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 medium artichokes, steamed, cut in half with choke removed
Dipping Sauce
- 3/4 cup good quality mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon chopped basil
- 1 clove of garlic finely minced
- 1 teaspoon Savor Harissa Mix, prepared
- 1 teaspoon Sherry Vinegar
Method
- In a small bowl, combine everything except for the artichoke, whisk to combine.
- Place the the artichokes in a zip top bag or a 9×12 pan and pour on the marinate. Allow to sit for 20 minutes or up to 2 hours, turning occasionally.
- Stir the dipping sauce ingredients together and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Preheat a grill to medium high.
- When the grill is hot, place the artichokes cut side down on the grill. Cook for about 5 minutes or until or until you have nice grill marks.
To serve, place the artichokes on a platter or individual plates cut side up. Spoon a little of the dipping sauce into the well of the artichoke. Enjoy
